ATTENTION: The Gering Boys sub-district basketball game vs Alliance in Scottsbluff today has been moved to 4 p.m. due to weather.
Just a reminder, there is a Spring Sports Meeting tonight (2/19) at 6 pm in the GHS Auditorium.

ATTENTION: Juniors
Senior Parents,
GHS Counseling Office will be hosting a Scholarship Night on Wednesday, January 25th from 6-7 pm in the Commons. Counselors will be available to help fill out scholarships, answer questions, provide transcripts, etc.
In order to better protect our students, visitors, and staff, all visitors to GHS will be required to show a valid, government-issued ID upon arrival, beginning on Monday January 23. We appreciate your cooperation!

Senior photos for the yearbook should be emailed digitally to Mrs. Moser at: kmoser@geringschools.net by April 21st. However, it will really help our yearbook staff if photos are received at an earlier date.
Please make sure the subject of the photo (your child) is not placed far off in the distance, and that all attire and content is school appropriate.

Hi parents,
Finals are on as scheduled, we will use tomorrow (Fri. 12/16) and over the weekend to review. Teachers will be using grace and flexibility with students. Have your student reach out to their individual instructors with questions or concerns.
Monday:
Period 1: 8:00-9:30 am
Period 2: 10:00-11:30 am
Period 5: 12:30-2:00 pm
Tuesday:
Period 3: 8:00-9:30 am
Period 4: 10:00-11:30 am
Period 6: 12:30 - 2:00 pm
Wednesday:
Period 7: 8:00-9:30 am
Period 8: 10:00 - 11:30 am
Lunch and breakfast options will be provided during the breaks.
Students can use 2-3:30 pm on Mon. & Tues and 11:30-3:30 pm on Wed. to make up finals and/or study. Teachers will be available to assist during these times.
Due to weather concerns the high school band concert has been moved up to a 6:00 p.m. start.
The GHS Band concert scheduled for tonight has been moved to 6:00 PM due to forecasted weather. Student band members need to please be at the High School by 5:30 PM.

Girls 200 Medley Relay (Margo Bowles , Megan Kicken , Aspen Jagers, and Patricia Woolsey) came in 5th with a 2:11.14.
Boys 200 Medley Relay (Dien Nguyen, Maddux Janecek, Wisley Mooc, and Treyton Gonzales) came in 4th with a 1:51.94.
Girls 200 Free Relay (Megan Kicken, Elliot Selzer, Alissa Morales, and Olivia Wharton) came in 6th with a time of 2:04.63.
Boys 200 Free Relay (Harrison Maser, Gage Newberry, Savian Marquez, and Treyton Gonzales) came in 7th place with a 1:52.55.
Girls 400 Free Relay (Margo Bowles, Aspen Jagers, Alissa Morales, and Patricia Woolsey) came in 5th with a time of 4:32.73.

Gering placed 3rd in Division
We had 27 kids in the Top 25% (We took 49 kids).

We had FOUR 1st place finishers! Please congratulate these individuals!
Hi Junior Parents, Gering Public Schools has purchased every junior an account for ACT Prep on actprep.org. Students will be working on this during Bulldog & Intervention Time throughout the year. Please encourage your student to work on this outside of this time. We encourage you to have your students show you their progress and the module so you can help guide this prep work. We want our students to do their absolute best on the test.
