Gering Middle School Parents,
We’re excited to celebrate our students’ hard work and academic growth! As part of a schoolwide incentive focused on academic growth, students had the opportunity to earn up to three FREE PERIODS this Friday, February 7, for showing growth on their winter NSCAS Math and ELA and NWEA MAP Science assessments.
Each student could earn:
ONE free period for growth in ONE test (2:20-3:20 PM)
TWO free periods for growth in TWO tests (1:20-3:20 PM)
THREE free periods for growth in THREE tests (12:20-3:20 PM)
What this means for your student:
During their earned free time, students with parent permission, may leave campus for the remainder of the day.
For students who prefer to stay or are unable to leave, fun activities will be available at GMS.
This is our way to recognize their effort and encourage continued academic growth - we are proud of our GMS Bulldogs!
Permission Required:
Students will not be allowed to leave campus without a signed parent permission slip. If you’d like to excuse your child during their earned free time, please complete and return the form by 8:00 AM on Friday, February 7.
