GERING, NE (April 5, 2024) – Gering Public Schools is pleased to announce that Julie Siebke has been selected as Director of Student Services and John Wiedeman as the Gering Middle School Principal, effective July 2024.
Julie Siebke is currently serving as the Gering Middle School Principal and brings with her a wealth of experience in education and a deep commitment to student success at Gering Public Schools. With a background in special education, counseling and educational leadership, Siebke has demonstrated a passion for supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development throughout her career. In her new role as Director of Student Services, Siebke will lead a range of programs aimed at ensuring the well-being and academic achievement of all students within the district. She has been with the Gering district since 2003.
"I am honored to begin this new role and am excited for the opportunity to serve our school community in a new way," said Siebke. "I look forward to collaborating with educators, families, and community partners to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can thrive."
John Wiedeman is currently the Principal for Northfield Elementary. With a proven track record of fostering a positive school culture and strong instructional leadership, Wiedeman is well-equipped to lead Gering Middle School to new heights of excellence. He has been with Gering Public Schools since 2016.
"I'm excited to begin a new adventure as principal of Gering Middle School," shared Wiedeman. "I am committed to working closely with students, staff, and families to ensure that Gering Middle School continues to provide an engaging educational experience for students."
