Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with Gering Public Schools to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. Any child 18 and under are eligible for free meals throughout the duration of the summer. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, or disability. The schedule is outlined below:
