All applications used in the classroom must first have their data policies and terms of service examined and accepted by our security team. Any apps that do not provide sufficient privacy and security are rejected.

GOOGLE APPS FOR EDUCATION

Student and teachers at Gering Public Schools utilize Google Apps for Education to create, edit, and share educational files. This provides a collaborative environment that facilitates learning improvement faster than ever before.

Data provided to and created in Google Apps for Education is stored on the cloud and is only used for educational purposes. GAFE is accessible using any device that is connected to the internet. The features and apps that are used at Gering Public Schools varies by grade level but may include: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Gmail, Sites, Calendar, Maps, and Blogger. Student use of GAFE follows the expectations and guidelines set forth in the handbooks and district policy.

If you at any time believe your username and password have been obtained by or are being used by a person who you do not consent to having access to your student's records, immediately notify the school's administration.
