Pre School Students Raise Money for the Scottsbluff Public Library
February 19, 2009
Gering preschool staff and students help with raising money for their Adopt-a-School partner, the Scottsbluff Public Library. They raised 989 pennies from the “Penny to Play” event, $91 from a gift basket raffle, and just over $100 from the penny carnival. They had activities like cakewalking, bowling, fishing for prizes and pin the nose on the clown.
All activities cost 1 penny to play which gave everybody an opportunity to participate. This was a great way for the preschool staff, students, and their families to give something back to their Adopt-a-School partner. This also served as a wonderful night for family involvement and fun.
