Cedar Canyon School was recently brought into the Gering Public School system under the ruling of LB126. It is now used as an attendance center for grades K-5 with a total of 85 students currently enrolled. The building was constructed in 1967 and operated as a K-8 facility until the 2006-07 school year. It is nestled close to the Scotts Bluff National Monument with a view of the Wildcat Hills. Also recently added within the past 5 years is a delightful outdoor classroom complete with pond and waterfall. Students at Cedar Canyon are given the same outstanding education as those in town, from music to computers all are given the same opportunity to succeed.
